Optical illusion art from Odeith

It is our pleasure to be able to share Odeith’s artwork at Aurum Gallery Bangkok.

Odeith was born in Damaia, Portugal. He held a spray can for the first time in the mid 80s, but it wasn’t until the 90s, when graffiti began its dissemination throughout Portugal, that the artist had his first contact with the craft.

In 2005, he was internationally acknowledged for his groundbreaking incursions in the anamorphic art field. Standing out for his strong compositions created by perspective and his artwork painted on complex surfaces, Odeith quickly became recognisable through his optical illusion-esque style.

The artist’s use of different surfaces, such as 90º corners, and wall to floor environments gives his work a gripping dimension and has thus become his signature technique.
